Symms Fruit Ranch first introduced Asparagus in the late 1980s. We have about 50 acres in asparagus that usually starts the middle of April and runs about six weeks. Once the ground has warmed enough to sustain the rapid growth asparagus is capable of, we harvest, pack and ship our asparagus daily.

We pack several ways to cover a variety of needs. Our most popular pack is the 28 lb. banded pyramid, followed by the 28 lb. loose pyramid. We also provide a 20 lb. field run pack as well as a 20 lb. #2 pack.

As quickly as we harvest our asparagus, we pack it then it goes directly to the hydro-cooler for a cold bath to reduce the field heat insuring the freshest available asparagus found anywhere. In a typical year we produce about 10,000 cartons of fresh asparagus.
